Water care

Last Thursday Sarah from Water Care told us that there is a water care treatment plant in Mangere. Our wees and poos would go there.

After that we went outside and did an experiment. We needed black board, lightweight rocks, plastic sheets and water. We had to see how many rivers each group made. After this we had to go inside because it was raining. Sarah told us in the olden days they had bed pans where people put bed pans under their bed.

If they had to do a poo or a wee at night they had to have

the bed pan, because owning a toilet was very expensive. Sarah had five little containers.  She filled each one with: car oil, food, paint, cooking oil and dishing liquid. The food waste looked disgusting.
